It took all tricks to get it there. Sounds good at 6200 rpm too.
The final pull is at the 20 minute mark.

Flagged for later review, thanks.

I would like it installed in this. Please and thank you.

They do a budget build one too, that’s right up your alley.
Fun fact this is the only motor I've ever rebuilt myself. I've got to find a pic of my old 84 jeep.

May I suggest the turbo one then?

I forgot they’re not crossflow.
Makes me wonder who else kept that engine design around as long, or if there are still any being made.

That’s probably just about the limit for a cam-in-block reverse flow design. People stroke those mills to some crazy torque numbers but not many people do HP builds.

That’s pretty damn good for a 4.0L inline 6. Imagine an L28 if it was 4 liters and totally custom me ss aged? Probably in the 450+ HP range.

I’m jealous of people who can hear cam specs rattled off like that and und erstand what they mean.

given that its a non-cross-flow head thats pretty good.

Toyota was using the F engine in the land cruiser up until 92, a 45 year run.

I’m curious on what kind of gasket he’s running on this and if it’s the same as the turbo one he’s building. I chased header and intake leaks on my old one. The offenhauser intake and tiny Holley almost made it worthwhile.

It just sounds wrong to me.

In my head anything over 500 is big. Whether that's true on every application is anyone's guess.

I kinda like it.

Hey, that sounds...pretty good. That sounds pretty good!

A turbo is always a welcome suggestion.
